During COP30 in Brazil, over 80 countries agreed to a roadmap proposed by Lula for transitioning away from fossil fuels to combat climate change. However, more than 70 countries, including Saudi Arabia and Bolivia, oppose its inclusion, citing economic reliance on hydrocarbons. 

In Argentina, the ATE workers' association is striking against labor reforms by right-wing leader Javier Milei, coinciding with a strike by university workers demanding salary adjustments. 

In the U.S., President Trump has shifted his stance and is expected to sign a bill to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein, after initially opposing it, possibly due to internal pressures from the GOP ahead of the midterm elections.
