Hello, this is Jorge Gestoso with today’s news podcast.

Mexico: A train from the Interoceanic Corridor collapsed in Oaxaca, resulting in at least 13 deaths and nearly 100 injuries. The train was carrying around 250 passengers and staff. Authorities are investigating whether the cause was a technical failure, excessive speed, or another factor.

Honduras: The Popular National Resistance is calling for a peaceful assembly against alleged electoral fraud. Several social sectors are mobilizing in front of INFOP, the National Institute for Professional Training, demanding the annulment of the November 30 election, which they denounce as influenced by the United States, declaring a candidate imposed by Donald Trump as president-elect.

Brazil: The National Meteorological Service has extended a high-risk alert until next Tuesday due to an extreme heat wave affecting multiple regions of the country.

Gaza: Urgent housing needs arise after many homes were destroyed in the enclave, while Israel, accused of genocide, is blocking humanitarian aid.

That’s all for today. I’m Jorge Gestoso. Join me again on another episode of Noticias with Jorge Gestoso. Goodbye!
