Peru 

At this hour, Peru is facing a new institutional crisis following the removal of its Interim President Jose Jeri on corruption charges. 

In the last decade, Peru has had seven presidents, most of them right-wing and removed for corruption. 

Peru is scheduled to hold presidential elections in less than two months, and the two frontrunners are right-wing and aligned with pro-United States positions. 

United States

This Wednesday in Washington marks the inaugural meeting of the so-called Peace Council for Gaza, a group promoted and led by President Trump to address the crisis in Gaza following the Israeli offensive in the enclave, which has been described as a genocide. 

In contrast to the far-right pro-U.S. Javier Milei, who is participating in the body, Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum said her country will not join this Trump-led Peace Council due to the exclusion of the Palestinian state from the entity while Israel is included. 

Spain

In Spain, the third day of a national doctor's strike is taking place in protest against the new framework statute, which they accuse of failing to recognize their specific working conditions, maintaining long and poorly paid on-call shifts, and not warrantying wage and labor improvements in a conflict that could extend through June if no agreement is reached with the government.
