Venezuela
The Acting President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, in a message to the nation on Sunday night, presented an assessment of her first 100 days in office, describing it as progress towards a new historical moment in which she has been promoting national reconciliation and overcoming political hatred.
Earlier, the leader took part in the State of Zulia in the national pilgrimage against international sanctions and the economic blockade.
On that occasion, she directly asked the U.S. and Europe to lift those measures and announce economic actions such as a possible increase in the minimum wage for May 1st.
Colombia
In Colombia, President Gustavo Petro filed a criminal complaint against his Ecuadorian counterpart, Daniel Novoa, before the prosecutor's office for the crime of slander after Novoa attempted to link him to drug trafficking.
According to some analysts, Novoa is doing the dirty work on behalf of the U.S. and the Colombian right by muddying the political landscape with these types of accusations just six weeks before the presidential elections with the aim of destabilizing Petro's government and preventing the victory of Ivan Zepeda, currently leading in the polls and considered Petro's political heir.
Iran - United States
And Iran accuses the United States of piracy following the seizure of one of its cargo ships that was attempting to break the naval blockade imposed by the U.S. in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that there are still no plans to attend the meeting in Pakistan to continue peace talks with the U.S. while uncertainty grows as the fragile ceasefire set to expire this week approaches amid tensions and accusations of violations.
