Venezuela - Barbados

Venezuela and Barbados are strengthening their ties of cooperation with a joint work agenda to promote integration and mutual development, following the official visit on Monday by Venezuela's Acting President, Delcy Rodríguez, to Barbados Prime Minister Mia Motley.

The Venezuelan leader announced the birth of an economic and commercial union between both countries and invited Barbados to invest in Venezuelan oil and gas fields. 

Colombia

In Colombia, amid an escalation of attacks, a troubling theory is growing that terrorism is being used to manipulate the upcoming elections at the end of May. 

President Gustavo Petro ordered an investigation into whether the weapons and explosives used in the recent attacks came from Ecuador, given that Ecuadorian President Daniel Novoa is being accused of acting as an agent of the United States, tasked with sabotaging and interfering in the electoral process and preventing the victory of the leftist Iván Zepeda, Petro's political successor, and the clear favorite to win the elections, possibly in the first round. 

Argentina

And in Argentina, the president of the Episcopal Conference and Archbishop of Mendoza, Marcelo Colombo, emphasized that inequality will deepen, describing the impact that cuts under the government program of the far-right, pro-U.S. Milei are having on the most vulnerable sectors, especially the retirees and people with disabilities.
