Venezuela

At the International Court of Justice, the Venezuelan delegation led by Foreign Minister, Yvan Gil, presented its arguments before the court regarding the dispute over the Guayana Ezequiba, making it clear that Venezuela does not recognize the jurisdiction of this body because the only mechanism to resolve the dispute is, he says, the Geneva Agreement of 1966. Hill reiterated that the agreement requires a negotiated resolution between the parties and that in the 2023 referendum, Venezuela incorporated the Esequibo as Venezuela's twenty fourth state by popular mandate. 

United States-Iran

The president of Iran strongly warned The United States against continuing to use pressure tactics to obtain concessions from Iran. He stated that Iran is willing to engage in any kind of dialogue with Washington, but within the framework of international law and based on its own principles and without submitting to coercion.

Israel-Palestine

And an Israeli court extended until next Sunday the detention of two activists who were traveling aboard a flotilla carrying humanitarian aid bound for the Gaza Strip who have, at the least, been beaten and mistreated. Brazil and Spain, the nationalities of the detainees, have reiterated their demand for the immediate release of their citizens who have been under arrest for a week on charges of terrorism and collaborating with the enemy.
