Colombia

Colombian citizens living in New Zealand have already begun early voting on Monday in this Sunday's presidential elections. They are part of the 1,400,000 Colombians eligible to vote abroad. Meanwhile, in Colombia, Carlos Aixedo, the former governor of the De Magdalena Department, withdrew his presidential candidacy and joined the campaign of leftist Iván Cepeda, Petro's political successor, and the favorite in the polls who could win in the first round. As the crisis in Bolivia enters its fourth week, labor unions are increasing pressure to demand the resignation of right wing neoliberal president Rodrigo Paz through street mobilizations and some 60 roadblocks in six of the country's nine regions.


Bolivia

The Bolivian workers central opened the possibility of dialogue with the government under two conditions, the release of those detained in the clashes of recent days and the suspension of the arrest warrant against the leader of its organization, the COB and other union leaders. 

Middle East

And Iran activated its air defenses in Bandar Awas and other coastal areas of the country, intercepting drows and hostile threats from The United States while warning of a reciprocal and legitimate response. Tehran considers Monday's US attacks on two Iranian vessels in the Strait Of Hormuz and on a surface to air missile base to be a flagrant violation of the ceasefire and the peace talks, describing the attacks as provocations during negotiations and as a US sabotage of diplomacy.
