Iran-United States
The announcement of a peace agreement between Iran and The United States marks a turning point in the stability of the Middle East. It will open the Strait Of Hormuz, immediately lift The US naval blockade, and bring an immediate end to the war on several fronts, including Lebanon. The official signing of the memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington will take place on Friday in Switzerland and will mark the beginning of the second phase of negotiations lasting sixty days, which includes lifting the blockade on Iran and releasing Iranian assets.
New Zealand
In New Zealand, the Colombian consulate in Auckland has begun the voting process for the runoff of the presidential elections on June 21. The electoral process for the 1,400,000 Colombians eligible to vote abroad will continue until Sunday, June 21.
Argentina
And in Argentina, the wake of Tati Almeida, president of the mothers of Plaza de Mayo founding line, is being held this Monday and Tuesday. Tati Almeida passed away at the age of 95. Her activism began after the disappearance of her son Alejandro, and for decades, she participated in the struggle for memory, truth, and justice in Argentina.
