Argentina

In Argentina, the call for a nationwide strike ordered by the Argentine Confederation of Education Workers for this Monday is creating uncertainty about the normal conduct of classes throughout the country. 

The demand is for higher wages and increased funding for public education.

Spain - Ceuta

Spain detected Moroccan agents infiltrated among migrants within the more than 50,000 people who entered Ceuta in a massive influx, an incursion that left at least 72 people dead. 

The invasion was allegedly politically motivated by an advisor to the King of Morocco, known as the Viceroy, with the purpose of influencing Morocco's September legislative elections and, according to President Gustavo Petro, by the intention of the far-right Benjamin Netanyahu to harm Spain's socialist president, Pedro Sanchez. 

India - climate change

And as a consequence of climate change, India remains on alert due to the devastation caused by monsoon rains in various regions of the country.

Meanwhile, the extreme heat wave continues across southern Europe, where it has triggered devastating wildfires that have been brought partially under control.
