Colombia

Violence is rocking Colombia just 48 hours after far-right pro-U.S. Abelardo de la Espriella took office as president. 

The attacks were reported in the departments of Cauca, Antioquia, Tolima and Huila, with no armed group claiming responsibility.

Iran

Iran sets its conditions for a ceasefire. 

Washington must stop violating the Memorandum of Understanding and compensate Iran for the damage inflicted. 

Tehran will not agree to resume dialogue with the United States unless those conditions are met, Iranian foreign minister said, as the Strait of Hormuz remains closed and oil prices continue to rise.

Climate crisis worldwide

And climate change continues to take its toll. In Brazil, civil defense officials reported that 2,000 people remained displaced in Rio Grande do Sul following severe storms that have affected more than 100 municipalities since Friday, and Typhoon Dolphin made landfall on China's eastern coast, forcing the cancellation of more than 1,500 flights and the evacuation of one million people across several provinces.
