Colombia

At this hour in Colombia, rescue teams and volunteers continue searching for survivors trapped under the rubble following the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck the country on Monday, the strongest earthquake felt there in the past decade. 

The earthquake has left at least 132 people dead in western and southwestern Colombia, affecting nine departments, while five capital cities remain under a red alert.

Iran-U.S.

Iran continues to denounce the United States' failure to comply with the Memorandum of Understanding, accusing Washington of continuing to impose conditions through military and economic pressure. 

Tehran is keeping the Strait of Hormuz closed, its main bargaining tool, demanding that Washington end the blockade and provide compensation for the damage caused as oil prices continue to rise. 

Climate crisis

And as a consequence of the climate crisis, wildfires are forcing 20,000 people to evacuate in Canada.And Chile has declared a preventive state of emergency ahead of a new frontal system moving into the northern part of the country, while the storm that has battered Chile since mid-July has left 15 people dead and 2,500 affected.
